Hit by a bike chasing Chocolate Labrador Retriever. I knew he was hiding in the weeds, like he usually was, so I slowed down. Well, on this day, he overshot his chase and colided with my left foot which was on the highwaybar at the time. Luckily I was wearing my steel-toe boots and only got a "stinger" in my big toe. The dog survived a 720 degree spin behind my bike. I just knew I had killed the poor thing. I went back to the owners house and told him that I had just killed his dog. He said "What dog? My Lab is right here on the porch." I looked, and sure enough, he was back on the porch. Had a big knot on his head though. He never chased my bike again. Every time he heard me comming, he would haul butt back up on the porch!
